Where is your office?
Our office is located at 150 N. Santa Anita Avenue, Suite 740, Arcadia CA 91006. Click here for Google Maps
Do you outsource to foreign accounting firms?
HELL NO! Unlike many local firms that send your tax accounting to be processed in India, China, & the Philippines, all our work is done in the good ole’ USA.
How much do you charge?
It all depends on scope of the services, expertise, and time required to solve your tax accounting needs. Simple individual tax prep starts at $500; simple entity preparation starts at $1,500; bookkeeping at $100/hr; simple tax strategy at $997.
Also, depending on who referred you, we may have a pre-established start price. Please let us know who referred you.
Do you charge for an initial consultation?
We offer a risk-free “discovery session” for prospective clients who want to interview us before committing to engaging our firm.
We charge $450, mailed to us in advance by check (you also have the option of writing a $500 check once we arrive at your office and hand to us before we start).
If you mail the check, we won’t cash your check until after the meeting. If you hire us, it’s applied to whatever agreement we come to. If you don’t hire us, but felt the meeting was valuable, we keep the money. If you feel the meeting was a waste of time, just let us know at the conclusion of the meeting, and we’ll rip up at the check right on the spot.
>The goal of the meeting is to focus on you and your needs, rather than sell our firm. Another reason we do it this way is to stop “tired kickers” in their tracks. We value your time; we expect you to value our time. If we’re not a fit for each other (and usually its clear very quickly) we rip up the check and thank you for considering us.
What should I bring to our appointment?
- Last Years tax return
- Current Year Tax Documents you’ve gotten in the mail
- You will receive a package prior to your appointment date with particular items.
- We’ll also call you before your appointment to ask some qualifying questions to make sure you bring the required docs.
How long is the appointment?
Plan on between 60 to 90 minutes if you come into the office. If it’s a teleconference, it’s about 30 minutes.
Where kind of tax prep packages do you offer?
We are three types of tax packages depending on your needs (Wage Earner vs. Business Owner vs Rental Property Owner). Each package has three price points for different levels of service. We have a service package for every level of need.
Why should we choose you over “xyz”?
If you’re looking for aggressive tax accountants to use every legal loophole in book so you pay little to no taxes, you’ve come to right place. Our #1 priority is to provide “bleeding edge” tax strategy that legally lowers your tax liability.
We do this because we fundamentally believe you are better at allocating your money to causes, passions, or missions than a politician ever can. It’s our intention that through aggressive tax reduction strategies you’ll have the increased cash flow to fund projects, businesses, & charities that will make a positive impact on the world.
And creating a positive impact in the world isn’t done alone. We work hand-in-hand with your estate lawyer, financial adviser, insurance agent, and/or business manager in a collaborative fashion to ensure ALL your needs are met. Our firm understands that we are just one piece to the puzzle.
The manifestation of our firm values is also reflected in how we treat each client: with respect. To understand why respecting our clients so such a HUGE deal, you’ll be interested in our firm story. You’ll get a real sense how we developed our core values.
Here’s some examples of how we show respect to our clients:
We are Discreet
What we talk about stays between you and us. Your business is your business, and NOBODY needs to hear about it. Many of our clients are well know in their field of expertise, possessing highly confidential information that must be protected at all costs.
We consider your privacy to be a BIG DEAL. We have 128 bit data encryption on all our files. Our backups are data encryted. And nobody, not even the therapist or rabbi, knows the password. Well, except for Adam!
We Are Emphatic
Your tax deductions aren’t just numbers on a tax form. They are the events of your life. Some events, like going to movies, are fun. But health issues, relationship issues, financial issues, which can have tax relevance, can be traumatic or difficult to reveal. We try to create a safe space for you to share your life with us. Because the more you share about your life, the more we can ask specific questions that have tax importance. And that could mean a bigger tax refund for you!
We don’t judge
We have clients of every skin color. We have clients from every major religion. We have clients from different political backgrounds. We have clients in all sorts of different relationships types. We have clients from 7 years old all the way to 93 years old. We have clients that never finished 3rd grade, and we have clients with 2 PhDs. We have clients that have gone BK 3 times. We have clients with FICOs of 850.
We only judge our clients by their ability to pay our fees, and our ability to provide the specific expertise for their tax situation.
We Are Open ALL Year Round
Unlike some firms, we are open all year. Yes, we do take vacations. Yes, our off season hours are limited. But we are NEVER more than a phone call away. Tax problems, and the IRS, don’t ever go away. And neither do we.
